Concert Band with Mr. Geerman
Mr. Geerman has been the band and guitar director
here at Rockway for xxxxxxx years. The band plays at the Brown and Gold
game. The students are not required to have
any experience to participate in the beginning band. The
students are required to maintain an A or B
average. "I expect every band member to be the
best they can be,"explains Mr. Geerman. The cost to rent an instrument from
the school is not expensive at all, only ten dollars!! What
costs more is the instrument repair, which runs from
twenty-five to fifty dollars. Band can benefit every student by helping them in
the areas of problem solving, team work, goal setting, coordination
and self expression. " Band is a lot of fun and a wonderful experience,"
says Mr. Geerman.
